Hey there, I’m Skylar

I am the sole owner of SS Photographs. I do all the camera work, editing, social media, all that jazz. I got into photography when I was in sixth or seventh grade when I got an old Nikon camera for Christmas. In my senior year of high school, I upgraded my camera and really started honing in on my work. I knew I wanted to start booking clients, but I wanted my work to feel more natural and focus on the personalities and love of the people in front of my camera. I put a twist on the super stiff, staged pictures and began working to capture the true moments playing out before me. From there, my business has taken off to what it is today.

My style!

I think that the best kind of storytelling is one that captures authentic, organic moments. Everyone’s story looks different, so the images encapsulating those stories will look different too. I want each of my clients to think about the important details in their story. Is your dog your whole world like mine is? Bring your pup to your session! Did you meet your lover at a coffee shop? Let’s go grab a cappuccino! There’s nothing cozier than your local coffee shop. Think about what makes your story unique to you. Then we can run with it! Not every session has to be on a beach or in a pampas grass field to be beautiful.
